Detoxing for a good start in all areas of health.

Detoxing for a good start in all areas of health.

I salute you all. I hope we have now settled into the new year and ready for the long haul. The year after a general election is very crucial because it is the beginning of another 5 year term for the incumbent. As we have all experienced, election years are very disruptive in all the pillars of wellness the most affected being financial wellness. It is now time to recover. I propose that we start planning for 2022 now to build strong shock absorbers for the next election.

Last week I advised it’s good to start the New Year with a 3 day detox program. This is very helpful to cleanse the body of toxins that accumulate from the many contamination from food, water, beauty products , soaps and all manner of things that we use. We breath heavily polluted air in Nairobi from diesel powered vehicles and emissions from poorly maintained vehicles. The government should allow the private sector to run engine emissions test stations alongside petrol stations to minimize this pollution. We cannot achieve wellness in any pillar of our life if the temple is full of toxins. We are having so much going against the body as originally designed to operate by God.

We were made to eat raw food from the gardens free from chemicals. Most foods are now grown with chemicals. The planting seeds are treated with chemicals and planted with chemical fertilizers. The plants are top dressed with foliar fertilizer and after harvesting  preserved with yet more chemicals.

The few who avoid chemical fertilizers grow food with cow/goat dung from cows fed with  processed feeds using artificial inputs. The little green matter they get is grown using fertilizers that find their way into animals. Food grown with dung from such animals is not organic .

Its good to observe that cows do not feed on grass that is grown on a place they had defecated. This is a very strong pointer that there is something amiss with the composition. If the animal cannot consume vegetation growing on their dung, is it not confirmation  that it is not okay for us?

This is why we need to detoxify to remove the accumulated toxic matter for our cells to operate optimally. This is why I call on us to start the year with a detox to cleanse the body and mind.

We set the detox this week to precede the hike on Saturday. If we do wet fast and complete the process with the hike, we will be off to a good start this year.

Here are the detox recipes for the 3 days. You can start on Monday through to Wednesday or Tuesday to Thursday so that you will have solid meals on Friday before we go for the Williams Hike. We need adequate energy to conquer Williams Hill unless you are a seasoned hiker.
